Healthy Snacks & Fresh Alternatives
Berkshire Food carries a full line of packaged "healthy snacks" including organic products.
We remain proactive in seeking and taste-testing new products that (1) meet the standard with regard to serving size, calories, sugar content, fat content, saturated fat content and trans fats, and (2) have potential consumer appeal (i.e., taste good). This line is made available to both schools and corporate accounts.
Our healthy snacks are complemented by fresh food alternatives; a growing segment of Berkshire Food's business. We offer yogurts, fresh fruits and vegetables, and sandwiches made daily via temperature controlled vending machines placed in commercial accounts. The availability of fresh foods can both boost productivity and enhance employee satisfaction.
In addition to its healthy snack distribution and vending programs to accommodate the specific needs of schools, Berkshire Food has taken steps to provide an additional vending program specifically designed to provide the very healthiest eating alternatives for your students or staff. Food and beverage products always meet one or more of the following criteria:
- All natural ingredients
- Organic, gluten free, vegan, or kosher
- More whole grain selections
- No preservatives or artificial ingredients, flavors or sweeteners
- No trans fats
